Sage 100 Standard and Sage 100 Advanced – The New Names for MAS 90 and MAS 200 Respectively
Sage 100 Standard – formerly known as MAS 90, is recommended for businesses that have annual revenue between $1 to $50 million. Sage 100 Standard runs on a Windows platform and connects to other users through a local area network (LAN). With this setup, it is advisable for Sage 100 Standard to cater only between 1 to 10 users at the same time. Sage 100 Standard is recommended for small businesses that do not have multiple offices.
Sage 100 Advanced – formerly known as MAS 200, is ideal for mid-market companies that have an annual revenue between $1 to $100 million. Unlike Sage 100 Standard, the Sage 100 Advanced runs on thin-client (client-server) platform instead of using a LAN connection. This enables Sage 100 Advanced to run faster, process more data and reports than Sage 100 Standard because it consumes less system resources. This platform makes Sage 100 Advanced ideal for companies that have multiple business locations, offices or those that have personnel on the field.
